A TSX wagon with TDI stickers? Because they add 40 mpg

Yeah, well Mazda does make a diesel manual 6 wagon, only drawback, it's FWD. And maybe that the gas engine is better. Yes really, and in real driving conditions doesn't even consume more. Seems the low-compression diesel tech has one drawback, it eats more diesel.....

Mazda does not make CVT, at least not in the 6.

Not necessarily a trait of lower compression diesels perse, but more of the emissions systems. DPF isn't very fuel friendly with it's regen cycles, and all the other things such as EGR, PCV, swirl flaps, etc choking them to death isn't going to help.
Most of all, it's the gearing, though. People don't like lazy long gearing, because it isn't very sporty, but ... it works much better with diesels.

Oh, I know. It's more like a hieroglyph than a picture really.
In english, it says, "NO CAN HAZ DUMB 'MURICANZ, LOLOLOL YOU MAD BRO?!" It's only really effective against native speakers of the zoom-zoom dialect, who mostly reside on Mazda forums.

Where are the pop-up headlamps?

I don't think you're right. The gearing isn't especially short, and all the other modern diesels get the same chocking stuff in there (+ adblue if they want to comply with Euro6) and they still manage to eat less. The skyactive D is one of, if not the smoothest 4cyl diesel to be had today, it's also quite rev-happy (for a diesel), but consumption isn't it's strongest point, and i don't see any other meaningful difference compared to other Euro6 diesels to answer for this, only the compression.

But if the donor engine is VW TDI, why couldn't they raid the Chrysler bin for a beautiful CVT

Needs more NA Miata. Because pop-ups.

couldn't find a good picture to base the front off of. I'm not good enough yet to be able and take a bad photo and make this.
